Will the Pluto° Dimmer work in my home?

If the following requirements are fulfilled, the Pluto° Dimmer will work in your home:

  • Your home has a Neutral Wire, Load Wire, Continuous Phase (230V AC) present in its electrical back boxes.
  • Your home has EU-Electrical Back Boxes installed.
  • You want to replace a toggle light switch (the Pluto° Dimmer can only replace toggle light switches).
  • You want to install the Pluto° Dimmer in a 1- or 2-light switch combination (one light switch or two light switches on top or next to each other).

How do I install the Pluto° Dimmer?

This product should only be installed by persons authorized to install 230 volt AC devices. In case of doubt, please find out which legal regulations apply.



  1. Turn off the power for the switch location at the circuit breaker box. Test the old light switch to make sure no lights come on.
  2. Remove the old switch.
  • Remove the faceplate.
  • Loosen screws that are holding the old switch in place.
  • Pull out the old light switch and disconnect the wires.

 

  1. Label the Neutral Wire (blue wire), Continuous Phase Wire (brown, grey, or black wire), and the Load Wire (brown, grey, or black wire).
  2. Connect the Neutral Wire to the Neutral Port of the Pluto° Dimmer, connect the Phase Wire to the Phase Port of the Dimmer, and connect the Load Wire to the Load Port of the dimmer.
  3. Put the Pluto° Wall Plate under the dimmer and push the dimmer against the wall. There should be no air gap between the wall and the wall plate.
  4. Screw in the mounting screws of the Pluto° Dimmer to securely mount the dimmer. Make sure you cannot pull the dimmer out of the wall.
  5. Turn on the power for the switch location at the circuit breaker box.
  6. Enjoy.
